While we are all counted as adopted children of God when we put our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord, we have each experienced the plans and purposes of God in a unique way. We’ve been impacted and influenced by our family of origin, the culture, and traditions that marked our upbringing, and the opportunities (or lack of) that we were given not only as children but through our adult years.
We’re also each wired with a particular personality, set of gifts and talents, proclivities toward a learning style and a relational style, and innate passions.
Yes, we’re all unique — fearfully and wonderfully made masterpieces reflecting our creative Creator’s design (Psalm 139). And because of that, we each have a story tell. Our stories aren’t simply about our trials and triumphs or the obstacles we’ve faced and how we’ve overcome.
Our stories are a part of the greater one we have the privilege of sharing — the one about our great Redeemer and Rescuer.
We get to share the Gospel story through retelling our stories.
